This is our free-to-use 3DM file conversion tool that can be used to convert your 3DM file into any number of other 3D model formats. Our 3DM converter will extract the 3D model geometry contained within your file and accurately convert it to the desired format without any loss of detail. Our 3DM converter also has a batch processing mode whereby you may upload up to a maximum of 20 files to be converted in one go.
Drag and drop your files here to upload or click the button above.
A maximum of 20 files can be converted at once.
Our 3DM converter will extract the vertices, faces, and other geometric data that forms the structure of your 3D model and convert it to the requested format. If the selected format supports external texture files, these can be uploaded along with your 3DM model file, and these will be processed accordingly.

The 3DM file format is an advanced 3D graphics format based around the NURBS method of representing 3D data. 3DM files are the native format used by the Rhinoceros 3D CAD application.
The advantages of using 3DM files to store 3D data are primarily down to the mathematically superior NURBS method compared to other 3D formats that store 3D objects as a series of triangles, which is how formats such as STL store 3D data.
The 3DM format isn't as widely supported as other formats such as STEP. As already mentioned, 3DM files can be opened using the Rhinoceros 3D application.
3DM Converter Capabilities
As the 3DM format currently does not support the use of material colors when used by tool, your converted model will contain only the mesh geometry, material colors will not be transferred to your converted file.
Here are 3 simple steps to convert your 3DM file using our free 3DM file file conversion tool.
Yes, there is no cost to using our conversion tools.
At this time, we do not have any usage limits other than the maximum of 20 file uploads per conversion run.
The size of your 3DM file will affect processing times, so please allow for this. For smaller files of around 5MB, our tools will aim to have it completed within a few seconds.
When you upload your file to our site, we use a set of bespoke conversion components to, as accurately as possible, convert your file to the requested format. When the conversion is complete you will see a download link with which to retrieve your converted file.
No. Most 3D printing slicer software will not support the 3DM format. It is recommended to convert your 3DM file to the STL format if you wish to 3D print it.
Yes, your files are automatically deleted from our servers after 15 minutes.
Yes, you can. Our 3DM file converters only require a modern web browser to convert your files.
