Here is our free to use 3DM to FBX 3D model converter tool that will take your 3DM file and convert it to the FBX format ready for loading into your favourite 3D modeling package. Our 3D model converter supports batch processing of your files and can convert up to 20 3DM files at one time.
Drag and drop your files here to upload or click the button above.
A maximum of 20 files can be converted at once.
The 3DM to FBX model conversion tool will analyse your 3DM file and convert its 3D mesh data including vertices, surfaces and where applicable vector normals and texture coordinates to the FBX format whilst maintaining the structural accuracy of your original 3DM 3D model file.

The 3DM file format is an advanced 3D graphics format based around the NURBS method of representing 3D data. 3DM files are the native format used by the Rhinoceros 3D CAD application.
The advantages of using 3DM files to store 3D data are primarily down to the mathematically superior NURBS method compared to other 3D formats that store 3D objects as a series of triangles, which is how formats such as STL store 3D data.
3DM Converter Capabilities
As the 3DM format currently does not support the use of material colors when used by tool, your converted model will contain only the mesh geometry, material colors will not be transferred to your converted file.

The FBX format, which is short for Filmbox, is a 3D modeling format developed by Autodesk with the aim of making it an open and easy-to-use way to distribute 3D models. The format started out in the mid-1990s and quickly gained traction, with its development continuing to this day.
Along with compatibility with Autodesk's Maya and 3Ds Max applications, FBX files have gained support with other 3D model editors, including Blender.
An FBX file is composed of 3D mesh data, including vertices, faces, normals, textures, and animations, in a text and binary format to produce a portable file that is both easy to develop and compact and efficient as a medium for the distribution of models and full 3D scenes.
FBX Converter Capabilities
As the FBX format currently does not support the use of material colors in 3D models when created using our tool, your converted model will contain only the mesh geometry, material colors will not be transferred to your converted FBX file.
Here are two steps to convert your 3DM to FBX using our free 3DM converter tool.
First, click the "Select File" button and choose your 3DM file. We will upload and convert your 3DM file. Once the conversion from 3DM to FBX completes, use the provided link to download your FBX file.
We aim to process all 3DM to FBX file conversions as soon as possible; this should take around 5 seconds; however, this may be longer for larger files.
No. Most 3D printing slicer software will not support the 3DM format. It is recommended to convert your 3DM file to the STL format if you wish to 3D print it.
